A Hoarding Alliance local resource guide

People first. Then the stuff.A Fight the Blight initiative

Start here - Fight the Blight

A first conversation, without a checklist.

Fight the Blight is a nonprofit front door for a respectful first conversation, virtual peer groups, and guidance for people directly affected and the people who care about them. Share only what feels useful. We can explore possible next steps, but we are not a county agency and cannot promise a grant, cleanup, or provider opening. Ask whether Armstrong County residents can currently join each option and whether any cost applies.

For immediate danger

If there is immediate physical danger, a fire, or an urgent medical need, call 911. For emotional distress or a behavioral-health crisis, call or text 988. The Open Door also provides 24/7 crisis intervention in Armstrong and Indiana Counties at 1-877-333-2470, including mobile crisis support; text 1-877-565-7744. Peer and community programs do not replace emergency response.
