These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
Nebraska DHHS directs people to 988 for crisis support. You can reach out for yourself or because you are concerned about someone else; you do not have to wait until a situation feels like the worst possible emergency.
