Start here - Fight the Blight
Fight the Blight is the nonprofit front door and offers virtual peer-support groups; ask about current fit and capacity from Webster Springs or elsewhere. The Peer Tree is a separate private-pay pathway; confirm scope, service area, and fees. Unburied is a digital peer-support pathway, not therapy or emergency support. Local listings are independent options, not endorsements; confirm access, eligibility, cost, and fit directly.

A separate private-pay pathway for hoarding-related support. Ask directly about scope, location, availability, travel, and current fees before making plans. It is distinct from Fight the Blight's nonprofit programming and is not emergency care.
Unburied is a digital peer-support pathway for people affected by hoarding and clutter concerns and for friends and family. Use it for connection and ongoing peer support; it does not provide therapy, emergency response, or local case management.
West Virginia 211 connects callers with community resource specialists for basic needs, food, health, housing, utilities, family, and disaster-related referrals. Call 211, text your ZIP code to 898-211, or call 833-848-9905 if 211 does not connect through a phone using Wi-Fi or internet calling. Ask about current local openings; a referral is not a guarantee of service. For immediate danger, call 911.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
The West Virginia Public Service Commission's Webster County E-911 plan identifies the county 911 center as the continuous emergency call-answering and dispatch point. Call or text 911 for immediate danger, fire, rescue, or urgent medical response. The emergency center's administrative number is not a substitute for 911.
West Virginia 988 offers free, confidential crisis support by phone, text, or online chat. It is for emotional distress and behavioral-health crises, not fire, medical, or law-enforcement dispatch. For immediate physical danger or urgent medical response, call 911.
The West Virginia Department of Human Services lists Help4WV as a free, confidential support and referral line for individuals and families facing behavioral-health or substance-use concerns. Call or text for statewide navigation; treatment, insurance, eligibility, and local availability depend on the service. It is not emergency dispatch.
Seneca Health Services lists a 24/7 crisis line and an outpatient clinic in Webster Springs. Call the crisis line for urgent support and help connecting with services; insurance, program eligibility, and in-person availability depend on the service. For immediate danger, fire, or urgent medical response, call 911.
The West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence lists Centers Against Violence for Webster County at 304-847-2211. The coalition says licensed programs provide services without charge, while specific services vary by provider. Ask what is currently available and how to connect safely; digital messages may not be secure. For immediate danger, call 911.
The West Virginia Department of Human Services lists a 24/7 centralized hotline for reporting suspected child or adult abuse or neglect. It is a reporting and protective-services line, not a general counseling service or a substitute for 911 when someone is in immediate danger.

Listed programs include Medicaid, WVCHIP, SNAP, emergency assistance, child-care help, non-emergency medical transportation, social services, and utility programs. Ask about each program's current rules and access; this is not emergency dispatch.
West Virginia PATH is the online portal to screen for and apply to listed public-assistance programs, including food and medical coverage. Screening does not guarantee eligibility or an award. People who cannot use the online portal can ask the Webster County DoHS office about other application options.
The West Virginia Bureau for Family Assistance explains SNAP eligibility, application, and case-reporting steps. Apply through WV PATH or contact the local DoHS office. WIC offers nutrition support, breastfeeding counseling, health monitoring, and nutritious foods to eligible participants. Call before traveling to confirm the schedule, current location, and eligibility.
Davis Health System lists Webster Memorial Hospital in Webster Springs at 304-847-5682 and says its emergency room is open around the clock. The hospital's location page and state facility records use different street addresses; confirm the correct entrance before non-emergency travel. For a medical emergency, call 911 rather than checking wait times or calling the hospital first.
Davis Health System lists primary care in Webster Springs and Cowen, including routine and preventive care. The clinic page does not establish current appointment openings or an out-of-pocket price; call the hospital or clinic to ask about location, scheduling, insurance, and financial assistance.
Seneca Health Services lists outpatient services in Webster Springs and clinic hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. It bills Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance, but payment, service fit, and appointment availability depend on the program. The county and statewide aging-services directory list Webster County Senior Citizens at 148 Court Square, Webster Springs, phone 304-847-5800. The organization reports senior-center, in-home-care, and transportation services, with activity documented through September 2025. Call to ask which services are active, who may use them, booking lead time, accessibility, and any cost; no public-route schedule is established here.
Southern WV Housing says its Housing Choice Voucher service area includes Webster County. Applications and waiting lists can open or close, and eligibility and participating rental requirements apply. Check its current notices before applying; do not assume an open list, local office, available unit, or immediate placement.
