A Hoarding Alliance local resource guide
A calm place to begin, with local options for support, safety, and practical next steps across Washington County.
Start here - Fight the Blight
You do not have to solve everything at once. Choose one conversation or practical step, and ask what is currently available before making a plan.
If you are unsure where to begin with a home, belongings, or a loved one, Fight the Blight is the nonprofit first conversation. Ask about current virtual groups and whether a local referral is available; there is no promise of a particular provider or service.
Role: nonprofit support front door and virtual-group pathway; geography: begin remotely and ask about Utah access; cost/eligibility: confirm current support, group fit, and any cost; emergency limit: not therapy or emergency response
For immediate danger, urgent medical help, fire, or an unsafe blocked exit, call 911. For 24/7 behavioral-health crisis support in Washington County, call Southwest Behavioral Health Center at (435) 634-5600 or (800) 574-6763; call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. These services do not replace emergency medical response.

Use Utah 211 to look for current food, housing, utility, health, and other community referrals. An agency listing is not a guarantee of an open slot, funding, or eligibility; confirm details directly.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
Call or text 988 for immediate emotional distress or suicide and crisis support. It is not a substitute for 911 when there is immediate physical danger, a fire, or urgent medical need.

A note from the Alliance
This guide is anchored in St. George, Utah, and includes city, county, state, nonprofit, national, and independent pathways. A listing here does not mean Fight the Blight endorses every provider or can guarantee availability. The Hoarding Alliance is not a city or county agency, therapy practice, emergency service, or cleanup company. We will keep reviewing this page, but please confirm details directly before relying on them.
