The Rexburg Health and Welfare office can help residents understand current benefits, health coverage, SNAP, LIHEAP, disability, behavioral-health, home-care, and navigation pathways. Call before visiting because some services are provided by phone.
Idaho 211 can help identify local programs for food, housing, utilities, health care, mental health, substance use, and other needs. A referral does not guarantee an open bed, appointment, benefit, or service, so confirm directly.
EICAP offers qualified households help with utility bills, emergency assistance, rental assistance, education, and food pantry services. Ask about current funding, seasonal deadlines, income guidelines, and required applications.
The Family Crisis Center provides a 24-hour crisis line, shelter, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, support groups, counseling referrals, and a community food bank. It is a safety and survivor-support pathway, not a general housing or cleanup service.
Rexburg publishes its ordinances and municipal code and describes code enforcement as an education-first process that may address debris, garbage, weeds, and illegal housing units. This is not a promise of supportive cleanup; ask about timelines and voluntary options.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, code compliance, or emergency dispatch.

Idaho Health and Welfare explains how to reach 988, find adult behavioral-health crisis centers, and connect with crisis services. Crisis centers may provide short-term stabilization and referrals; use an emergency department or 911 for immediate medical danger.
Madison Memorial describes a 12-bed behavioral-health unit for adults 18 and older that provides crisis stabilization and local psychiatric care. It is not a general shelter or cleanup service; call the hospital or use 911 for immediate medical danger.
Adult Protective Services responds to reports involving vulnerable adults age 18 and older, including neglect, self-neglect, abuse, and exploitation. It cannot force services on a capable adult and is not a general cleanup referral; call 911 for immediate danger.
The Family Crisis Center helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking with crisis intervention, shelter, legal advocacy, counseling referrals, and support groups. Call the 24-hour line for safety planning; call 911 for immediate danger.
Idaho Legal Aid offers advice lines for housing, evictions, public benefits, seniors, and domestic or sexual violence. An intake interview is required, eligibility is not guaranteed, and weekly capacity may fill.
