West River Mental Health serves Rapid City and surrounding West River communities with behavioral-health and substance-use services. Ask about assessment, outpatient care, crisis follow-up, insurance or ability-to-pay options, and the level of care that fits.
Pennington County public-health nurses work from the South Dakota State One Stop in Rapid City. Ask about public-health guidance, prevention, referrals, and help connecting with health services; this is not emergency medical care.

Safety and stability

Rapid City's Code Enforcement division addresses public-health and safety concerns such as rubbish, debris, appliances, building materials, and unsafe property conditions. Ask about the least-escalating reporting and support pathway; an enforcement case is not a substitute for emergency response or consent-based support.
Rapid City Solid Waste publishes landfill, residential route, recycling, and extra-garbage information. Ask about accepted materials, fees, special pickups, and safe loading; disposal services do not provide sorting, organizing, or emergency cleanup.
