Our virtual groups give people affected by hoarding and clutter concerns a place to connect from Pocatello, Bannock County, and other southeast Idaho communities. We can help you think through what is happening and what kind of next step may fit.

You do not need to know the perfect service name before reaching out. These organizations can help you understand the landscape and identify a next step.
The Southeast Idaho Behavioral Crisis Center is open around the clock for adults experiencing a mental-health or substance-use crisis. It provides assessment, risk screening, basic medical triage, stabilization, and connections to community services. Call 911 for immediate danger.
Idaho Health and Welfare can help identify benefits and services for food, utilities, health coverage, aging, disability, personal care, and substance use. Ask what current program fits and what documentation is needed.
HACP is the independent public housing body for the Pocatello region and publishes public housing, Housing Choice Voucher, affordable, and other properties. Check current availability, waitlists, reasonable accommodations, and application documents; emergency housing is not guaranteed.
Pocatello provides a Police Department ordinance-violation report and a city app for concerns such as code violations. A report can begin a formal municipal process and is not the same as consent-based support; ask about timelines and voluntary options.
Pocatello Sanitation provides weekly garbage collection, recycling, yard-waste and leaf programs, dumpster rental, hazardous-waste guidance, and landfill information. Confirm current accepted items, fees, hours, and safe disposal routes before moving anything.

Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, code compliance, or emergency dispatch.

The crisis center is always open for adults facing a mental-health or substance-use crisis and offers assessment, stabilization, and connections to local services. It is not a general cleanup service or replacement for emergency medical care.
Idaho Adult Protective Services investigates reports involving vulnerable adults and may connect eligible people with protective, supportive, or preventative services. It cannot force services on a capable adult and is not a general cleanup referral.
Family Services Alliance provides crisis intervention, emergency shelter, safety planning, legal and medical advocacy, counseling, civil-protection-order help, and support in rural communities. Use its 24-hour help line for safety planning; call 911 for immediate danger.
Pocatello Police publishes information for victims and connects people with Family Services Alliance for crisis, shelter, medical, and safety support. Use it for local victim navigation and ask what confidentiality, language, accessibility, and case requirements apply.
Idaho 211 connects residents with local nonprofits, charities, and community programs for food, housing, mental health, substance use, utilities, and other needs. A referral is not a guarantee of an open bed, appointment, benefit, or service; confirm directly.
