Unburied, from The Peer Tree, offers a judgment-free digital pathway with peer support, groups, and tools for people directly affected and for friends or family supporters. It is not therapy, a crisis service, or a substitute for emergency help.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
Call 911 when someone is in immediate danger, there is a fire or medical emergency, violence, or a life-safety threat. Tell the dispatcher the location, immediate hazard, and any access or mobility issue responders should know.
Manistee County identifies Central Dispatch at 231-723-6241 for local public-safety routing. Use 911 instead when danger, fire, a medical emergency, violence, or another immediate threat is happening.
The City of Manistee lists its Police Department at 70 Maple Street and provides the department as a local public-safety contact. Call 231-723-2533 for non-emergency questions and use 911 for immediate danger.
Manistee County lists the Sheriff's Office as its county law-enforcement pathway. Call 231-723-8393 for non-emergency contact and call 911 for an immediate threat or emergency.
The City of Manistee lists Fire and EMS among its departments and provides 231-723-1549 as the fire contact. Do not delay 911 when smoke, fire, blocked egress, serious injury, or another immediate hazard is present.
Manistee County provides Emergency Management information through its county departments and current public notices. Use this pathway for local preparedness, severe-weather, storm-damage, and hazard information; call 911 for an active emergency.
Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital lists an Emergency Department at 1465 E. Parkdale Avenue. Call 231-398-1150 for the department and call 911 for a life-threatening or serious emergency.
Centra Wellness Network is the publicly funded Community Mental Health provider for Manistee and Benzie Counties. Its current service information describes 24/7 crisis support, screening, referral, safety planning, and stabilization. Call 877-398-2013.
Centra lists the Manistee Wellness Center at 2198 US 31 South. Call 877-398-2013 to ask about current mental-health, substance-use, peer, family, and crisis pathways; the center is not a substitute for emergency response.
Call or text 988 for immediate emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a behavioral-health crisis. The 988 service is not a hoarding-support provider and does not replace 911 when someone is in immediate danger.
CHOICES provides confidential domestic-violence services in Manistee County, including a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, advocacy, safety planning, counseling, and support groups. Call 231-723-6004; use 911 for immediate danger.
COVE serves survivors in Manistee and nearby West Michigan counties with confidential advocacy, crisis support, and a 24/7 shelter pathway located in Ludington. Call 800-950-5808; COVE is not a general hoarding-support or emergency medical provider.
Michigan DHHS provides the statewide reporting pathway for suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation involving an adult or child. Call 855-444-3911. A report is not a substitute for emergency response or a voluntary support plan.
District Health Department No. 10 lists its Manistee County office at 385 Third Street and provides public-health, WIC, environmental-health, well, septic, prevention, and inspection services. Call 231-723-3595 to ask which current program fits.
The City of Manistee lists Community Development and rental inspection among its departments. Call 231-398-2805 to ask about current local property, rental, zoning, or inspection requirements instead of guessing at code obligations.

The City of Manistee contracts for trash service and provides current information about billing, bulky items, curbside recycling, and seasonal household hazardous-waste and electronics collection. Call 231-723-2559 for city trash questions and confirm accepted materials before transporting items.
Michigan's Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy explains solid-waste and recycling requirements. Review current accepted materials and local facility rules before transporting debris, chemicals, electronics, or other potentially regulated items.
Veterans, service members, and people supporting them can call 988 and press 1, text 838255, or use the Veterans Crisis Line website. This is a crisis pathway, not a hoarding-support provider or substitute for emergency services.
Michigan DHHS Emergency Relief programs may help eligible households with certain urgent needs such as shelter, utilities, or relocation. Review current rules and apply through the state or local DHHS pathway; a pending application is not emergency shelter or medical care.
Contact MISS DIG 811 before digging, demolition, or other ground-disturbing work so underground utility lines can be located. It does not inspect a home, remove materials, or provide emergency response.

Feeding America West Michigan lists the Catholic Community of Manistee Matthew 25:35 pantry at 249 Sixth Street as serving Manistee County residents, generally on the second Friday of the month. Confirm the current schedule and intake requirements before traveling.
