You do not need to know the perfect service name before reaching out. These organizations can help you understand the landscape and identify a next step.
Arkansas 211 is a free, confidential, 24-hour information and referral service for local food, shelter, rent, utility, health, transportation, and mental-health resources. Call 211 or search the current database for Pulaski County options. Confirm eligibility, capacity, hours, and referral requirements directly.
The IOCDF provider profile for Ally Orsi identifies a Little Rock practice with OCD and related-disorder work and BTTI training. The profile does not guarantee a current hoarding-specific opening or insurance coverage. Ask directly about hoarding concerns, treatment goals, fees, availability, and whether telehealth is appropriate.
UAMS Walker Family Clinic lists care for OCD, anxiety, trauma, and related behavioral-health concerns, with diagnostic assessment, medication management, psychotherapy, and group services. It is a clinical pathway, not organizing or cleanup. Ask whether the current team serves hoarding-related concerns and what the intake route is.
The Arkansas Department of Human Services Choices in Living Resource Center helps seniors, people with disabilities, families, caregivers, and providers understand long-term services and supports. Specialists can help identify home- and community-based options, but they do not provide hoarding cleanup or guarantee a service placement.
CareLink is the Central Arkansas Area Agency on Aging and serves Pulaski County. Its services include information and assistance, meals, home care, caregiver support, transportation, legal referrals, and ombudsman services. It can help build a safety and independence plan for an older adult, but it is not hoarding-specific therapy or automatic free cleanup.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve protective services, housing screening, crisis response, shelter, code enforcement, or emergency assistance.
Arkansas DHS Adult Protective Services investigates reports of suspected neglect, abuse, maltreatment, or exploitation involving impaired or endangered adults. Use this for a genuine protective concern, not as a general cleanup referral. Call 911 first if the person is in immediate danger.
Call or text 988 for emotional distress, a mental-health or substance-use crisis, or concern about someone else. 988 is not a cleanup provider and does not guarantee an in-home response. Call 911 for immediate danger, fire, violence, or a medical emergency.
Call 911 when there is immediate danger, fire, a medical emergency, violence, or a threat that cannot wait for a scheduled service. Emergency dispatch is not a hoarding-support program, behavioral-health counseling service, or cleanup provider. When the situation is not immediately dangerous, begin with Fight the Blight or a local support, care, or navigation pathway.
Arkansas DHS lists a Mental Health and Addiction Support Line that can connect callers with behavioral-health and addiction providers in their area. This is a navigation and referral pathway, not an organizing or cleanup service. Ask for Pulaski County options and explain whether the need is urgent.
The City of Little Rock Homeless Services Division works with residents at risk of homelessness or already homeless and connects with local organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and private partners. Use it for housing navigation and prevention, not as a guarantee of shelter or a hoarding-specific response.
Central Arkansas Team Care for the Homeless is a nonprofit member organization that coordinates housing and service connections for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Its resource guides identify local shelters, day services, food, and other pathways. Confirm the current provider, eligibility, and availability before relying on a referral.
The Little Rock Compassion Center describes nightly shelter for men and women, meals, and separate programs for women and children and recovery support. It is a homelessness and basic-needs pathway, not hoarding-specific care. Confirm current check-in, eligibility, capacity, and program expectations before relying on a bed.
The City of Little Rock describes minimum safe-housing standards and points residents facing eviction or homelessness toward housing programs, Legal Aid of Arkansas, 211, and utility-assistance pathways. This is a housing-stability and rights resource, not a cleanup provider. Confirm deadlines, notices, and documentation.
Little Rock Code Enforcement addresses property conditions and housing-code violations, including structures in disrepair. This is a regulatory pathway rather than consent-based support, therapy, or cleanup. When possible, pair a safety response with respectful support and confirm the current complaint and notice process.
The City describes a micro-home village strategy intended to provide transitional housing, emergency shelter, case management, supportive services, and a community hub for people experiencing homelessness. This is a program pathway rather than an immediate placement guarantee; ask the city's homeless-services staff how access currently works.
People and practical help
These listings offer connections for care, education, housing, benefits, utilities, home repair, organizing, or disposal. They are independent organizations; ask about current availability, cost, scope, consent, and safety before relying on them.
The City of Little Rock describes forgivable-loan and grant pathways for qualifying homeowners, including emergency repairs, major systems, accessibility ramps, and code-related rehabilitation. These programs address health and safety conditions, not general cleaning or hoarding treatment. Confirm current funds, income limits, primary-residence rules, and liens.
The City is administering disaster-recovery housing programs for eligible households affected by the 2023 tornado, including home rehabilitation or reconstruction and homebuyer assistance. This is not routine hoarding cleanup and may be geographically limited to eligible areas. Review the current application and policy manual before relying on it.
The Metropolitan Housing Alliance administers public-housing and voucher pathways and lists participating affordable-housing sites and application instructions. Availability and waiting-list status change. Ask about reasonable accommodation, household support needs, waitlists, and current unit availability directly.
The City provides garbage, recycling, yard-waste, and bulky-item services, with address-based schedules and 311 support. The city lists restricted materials, including paint, electronics, tires, and construction debris, and describes free annual bulky pickups before additional fees may apply. Confirm accepted materials and pickup limits before moving items.
Central Arkansas Development Council lists utility assistance, weatherization, nutrition, transportation, and community-resource support. Weatherization may improve home energy efficiency and safety, but neither it nor LIHEAP is hoarding treatment or guaranteed cleanup funding. Confirm the Pulaski County intake route and current funds.
CareLink's information-and-assistance staff help older adults, families, and caregivers identify the right local service, including when the caller is unsure what to ask for. Some programs may have age, income, medical, or need-based requirements. It is a coordination pathway, not a hoarding-specific cleanup service.
Little Rock Organizers describes professional home-organizing services in the Little Rock area. It is an independent private-pay lead, not an Alliance or Fight the Blight provider. Ask for a written scope, pricing, disposal plan, privacy practices, and a consent-based pace before scheduling.
T.A.C.T. advertises hoarding-cleanup services in Little Rock and describes compassionate, discreet cleanup. It is not affiliated with Fight the Blight or the Alliance. Request a written scope, insurance information, disposal plan, privacy practices, and a plan that keeps the person involved wherever possible.
The Peer Tree offers nonclinical hoarding and clutter support, including organizing help, groups, family guidance, and practical next steps. Ask about current availability, service area, scope, pacing, privacy, and fees before beginning. The Peer Tree is a separate private-pay pathway from Fight the Blight's nonprofit programming.
Unburied, from The Peer Tree, is a judgment-free digital peer-support pathway for people affected by hoarding and clutter concerns and for friends and family. It can offer ongoing connection, tools, and momentum from Little Rock or anywhere else. It is not therapy, clinical care, or emergency support.
