Our virtual groups give people affected by hoarding and clutter concerns a place to connect from Hart, Oceana County, and other communities. We can help you think through what is happening and what kind of next step may fit.

Unburied, from The Peer Tree, offers a judgment-free digital pathway with peer support, groups, and tools for people directly affected and for friends or family supporters. It is not therapy, a crisis service, or a substitute for emergency help.
Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
Call 911 when someone is in immediate danger, there is a fire or medical emergency, violence, or a life-safety threat. Tell the dispatcher the location, immediate hazard, and any access or mobility issue responders should know.
Oceana County lists Central Dispatch at 231-869-5858 for local public-safety routing. Use 911 instead when danger, fire, a medical emergency, or another immediate threat is happening.
The City of Hart lists its police department at 407 State Street. For non-emergency questions, call 231-923-0696 or 231-923-0851. Police response is not a substitute for voluntary support or a clinical service.
The county public-safety page lists the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office at 216 Lincoln Street in Hart. Call 231-873-2121 for non-emergency contact and use 911 for immediate danger.

Oceana County Emergency Management provides CodeRED enrollment, family preparedness, flood and severe-weather information, hazard planning, and property-damage reporting. Use the county’s current instructions to sign up for alerts and prepare for local hazards.
West Michigan Community Mental Health serves Oceana County with 24/7 crisis intervention, mobile crisis, and stabilization support. Call 800-992-2061 for a live crisis response and explain the immediate concern, location, and safety needs.
WMCMH lists an Oceana County access location at 105 Lincoln Street in Hart and provides mental-health, substance-use, case-management, peer, and family supports. Call 231-873-2108 to ask about current services and eligibility.
Call or text 988 for immediate emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a behavioral-health crisis. The 988 service is not a hoarding-support provider and does not replace 911 when someone is in immediate danger.
COVE serves survivors in Oceana County and surrounding West Michigan communities with confidential advocacy, crisis support, and shelter pathways. Call the 24/7 crisis line at 800-950-5808. COVE is not a general hoarding-support or emergency medical provider.
Michigan DHHS provides the reporting pathway for suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation involving an adult or child. Call 855-444-3911 for the statewide reporting line. A report is not a substitute for emergency response or a voluntary support plan.
District Health Department No. 10 lists its Oceana County location at 3986 N Oceana Drive in Hart and provides public-health, WIC, environmental-health, well, septic, and prevention services. Call 231-873-2193 to ask which program fits the concern.
Trinity Health Medical Group’s Hart location at 611 E Main Street offers family primary care, acute care, immunizations, and related health services. The current listing says a sliding discount fee scale is available for essential services; call 231-873-6900 to confirm scheduling and access.

Veterans, service members, and people supporting them can call 988 and press 1, text 838255, or use the Veterans Crisis Line website. This is a crisis pathway, not a hoarding-support provider or substitute for emergency services.
Michigan DHHS Emergency Relief programs may help eligible households with certain urgent needs such as shelter, utilities, or relocation. Review current program rules and apply through the state or local DHHS pathway; a pending application is not emergency shelter or medical care.
People and practical help
These listings connect the local community with housing, food, behavioral health, benefits, transit, survivor advocacy, disability support, peer support, and practical resources. Ask about current availability, cost, scope, consent, and safety before relying on them.
Oceana’s Home Partnership helps Oceana County residents with homelessness and homeless prevention, Housing Choice Voucher questions, and landlord-repair processes. The county lists its office at 204 Washington Street in Hart, open Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-4:30 PM; call 231-873-2222 to ask about current options.
MSHDA’s housing-help page explains how to look for housing assistance and connect with local housing resources. Use it alongside Oceana’s Home Partnership and 211, and confirm availability, eligibility, and waitlists directly with the responsible program.
