Use 211 Wisconsin to identify current Brown County resources for food, shelter, housing, utilities, mental health, substance use, and other needs. A referral is not a guarantee of an open bed, appointment, benefit, or service, so confirm directly.
Green Bay's Behavioral Health Unit coordinates law-enforcement and community resources for people in crisis, including severe mental illness, co-occurring conditions, developmental disabilities, and homelessness. Call 988 for behavioral-health crisis support and 911 for immediate danger.
Brown County Health and Human Services provides adult behavioral health, case management, public benefits, adult protective services, and other county programs. Ask which department fits the concern and what eligibility or documentation applies.
N.E.W. Community Clinic provides medical and behavioral-health care and accepts Medicaid and Medicare. Its sliding-fee program can reduce fees for people who are uninsured or under-insured based on income; confirm current access and appointments.

Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, code compliance, or emergency dispatch.
Call 911 for a fire, medical emergency, violence, immediate threat, or dangerous condition that cannot wait for a scheduled service. Emergency dispatch is not a hoarding-support program, counseling service, or cleanup provider.
Call or text 988, or use online chat, for emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, mental-health or substance-use crisis, or concern about a loved one. Call 911 for immediate danger.
Brown County directs residents experiencing a mental-health crisis to the Crisis Center hotline. Crisis staff can help with immediate safety and connection to services; it is not an emergency cleanup or housing program.
Brown County provides programming for adults with mental-health needs who have difficulty accessing services elsewhere. Services may include case management, Comprehensive Community Services, substance-use services, outpatient psychiatry, and inpatient care.
Wisconsin directs reports of suspected abuse, neglect, self-neglect, or financial exploitation to the county where the adult at risk lives. Brown County's daytime APS contact is 920-448-7885 and after-hours contact is 920-436-8888; call 911 for immediate danger.
Golden House provides confidential shelter and advocacy to victims and survivors of domestic violence, including men and families. Call the 24-hour help line for safety planning, shelter questions, or advocacy; call 911 for immediate danger.
The city explains Wisconsin domestic-abuse definitions and points residents toward Golden House and the 920-212-SAFE campaign. Use a confidential advocate for safety planning rather than attempting to solve an immediate threat through a general resource page.
St. John's Ministries serves people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, and its Micah Center provides screening and assistance for people at risk of eviction or facing an eviction notice. Confirm current hours and available services.
New Community Shelter is identified in the city's current housing and homelessness materials as an emergency and transitional-housing option for adults and veterans. Confirm current eligibility, capacity, accessibility, and intake before traveling.
The Green Bay Housing Authority oversees Mason Manor and scattered-site public housing units. Contact the authority to ask about applications, current waitlists, accessibility, reasonable accommodations, and required documents; this is not emergency shelter.
Brown County Housing Authority describes Housing Choice and project-based voucher programs, including preferences and targeted units for some homeless, disabled, and family households. Confirm whether the waiting list is open and what current documents are needed.
