The local health department maintains a searchable resource directory covering basic needs, emergency and crisis services, mental health and substance-use recovery, disability services, housing, transportation, and community support. Use it to find a more specific local pathway, then confirm contact details, eligibility, cost, and capacity directly.
The Natrona County DFS office is a local entry point for Wyoming benefit and family-service programs. It can help clarify the right unit for SNAP, child-care and family supports, or a concern that may need protective-services review. Safety and stability
These pathways serve different situations. Read the labels carefully before calling, especially when a response may involve crisis care, protective services, shelter, housing rules, legal advocacy, or emergency dispatch.
Call 911 when there is immediate danger, fire, a medical emergency, violence, or a threat that cannot wait for a scheduled service. Emergency dispatch is not a hoarding-support program, behavioral-health counseling service, or cleanup provider. When the situation is not immediately dangerous, begin with Fight the Blight or a local support, care, or navigation pathway.
Call or text 988 for emotional distress, a mental-health or substance-use crisis, or concern about someone else. 988 is not a cleanup provider and does not guarantee an in-home response. Call 911 for immediate danger, fire, violence, or a medical emergency.
Central Wyoming Counseling Center describes adult, child, and family behavioral-health services, crisis stabilization, social detoxification, addiction treatment, psychiatric medicine, and same-day or walk-in options. It is not hoarding-specific care or a cleanup provider. Call 911 for an emergency or use 988 for crisis support.
Wyoming Behavioral Institute provides child, adolescent, and adult inpatient psychiatric care, outpatient services, crisis stabilization, and level-of-care assessments. The Self Help Center describes 24-hour crisis intervention, an emergency safe house, and supportive services for domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking, elder abuse, and substance-use concerns. Wyoming Rescue Mission offers short-term shelter, food, showers, laundry, clothing, case management, and referrals. Its published information describes 30- and 90-day programs with participation expectations. It is not a hoarding-specific service or guaranteed housing placement; confirm current eligibility and capacity.
Kind Grounds describes a Casper navigation center where people experiencing homelessness can connect with meals, basic welcome, and referrals to services. It is a starting point for navigation, not an emergency medical service or guaranteed housing placement. Confirm current hours and available supports before traveling.
People and practical help

Casper's residential-cleaning guidance identifies the Solid Waste Facility as a route for household trash, appliances, paint and chemicals, and yard waste, with different rules for each material. The city advises securing loads and calling for current facility information. Confirm what is accepted before moving hazardous or heavy items.
Wyoming's LIEAP and Weatherization programs can help eligible households with heating costs, certain heating emergencies, and energy-efficiency improvements.
